JudithMcfadden Women’s Clothing: How to Wear a Maxi Dress this Fall Season Sep 10, 2010 3:26 AM Who said that you can’t wear your maxi dress no more during the fall season? Maxi dresses are one of the most adaptable outfits you can ever have. So secure them and don’t set them aside yet. Didn’t you know that the theme of the trend this fall is still going to be bright, colored & floral? Well maybe not as intense and happy like the last season but the colors that will be in style next month are purple, blue, green, tan, and the designs are mostly going to be floral. So let’s get down to business. What can you possibly add on or do to make your maxi dress fit in this coming season? Here are several tips and tricks that you can do to recreate your Maxi outfit:   You can still wear it as is without adding on more clothing. Just simply accessorize with bangles on your wrist, put on bohemian dangling earrings on your ears and have on a really big flower ring on your finger. For your footwear, you can wear any flat shoes that you have or gladiator sandals. If you are a petite woman I suggest you wear wedges instead of wearing anything flat because long maxi dresses can make you look short. Furthermore, do not pair this outfit with pump shoes.     You can put on a black leather jacket on top of your maxi dress to make your whole attire look different and cooler. Lastly, carry along with you a black pelt bag to match up your leather jacket. There’s this particular women’s clothing site that sells really good leather jackets. This is the link to their domain: www.shopstyle.com     You can put on a knitted trendy sweater or jacket over your maxi dress and just leave the buttons open if it has any. Do not use the big and thick ones, but pick on the thin and fitted sheaths instead.     Put on a bolero over your maxi dress to make your outfit look classy plus it will give more definition on your bust line area.   Rules in wearing Maxi Dresses:   If you are a tall girl then you can wear maxi dresses that have an immense and bold print on them. This will balance your structure without making your curves appear too noticeable.     If you are a petite & skinny girl it is best to wear maxi dresses that have diminutive prints so that it will not overpower your figure.     If you are a plus size petite woman then chose maxi dresses that have medium sized prints on them and make sure that the designs are going vertical as well.   The maxi dresses that you must have are the ones that do not have any prints on them because they are very versatile, and you can use it in a formal or a casual occasion. Plus they really look classy when you pair them any gold or silver accessory.
